Located on the popular southern coast line of South Australia, David's stables at Goolwa, house around 30 thoroughbreds in full race work. David strongly believes this is a manageable number that truly allows him to track each individual horse and give them the attention they require while in work.

All horses go through an individualised pre-training program prior to heading to the stables at Goolwa to ensure they are in peak condition and ready to commence full race work when they arrive at the stables. Pre-training takes place at Finniss Lodge (approximately 10 km's from Goolwa) under the watchful eye of Glen Kent in conjunction with David, David believes this provides the best possible stepping block to a successful preparation.     

David treats all the horses as individuals and prepares each horse to its strengths, whether it's a sprinter, a middle distance horse or staying horse. They have individually planned programs to suit. 

The ideal location gives all horses the best training facilities available. Having immediate access to Goolwa Beach offers the perfect coast line for working horses and maintaining them in the best possible physical condition.

The Strathalbyn Race Course which is one of SA's leading provincial tracks is located approximately 30 km's from Goolwa and provides a well equipped facility with two grass tracks, sand track and trotting track for all work, trials, jump outs and race days.
